Can Desktop and Tablet/Mobile headers share items?

I would like to use the same HTML item on both Desktop and Tablet/Mobile headers.
The only way I found is to copy & paste content between Desktop’s own HTML item and Tablet/Mobile’s own HTML item. There are 2 issues in this approach:
1. Convenience: I have to edit both in case of content update;
2. Optimization: page’s code includes both of them even if they are identical, no matter what’s the screen size. It is a bloating duplicate!
Is there a way to make Desktop and Tablet/Mobile headers share items?
