Can not update Virtue theme!

Hi,
I use the Virtue Premium theme and I always had problems with updating the theme. WordPress often gets stuck, so I have to delete the Maintenance work file manually.
NOW I have a even bigger problem. I can not update from 3.8.8 to 3.9.6! When I push update it seems to start but it only deletes everything in the theme! After the “update” is nothing left in the virtue theme folder on my FTP account than the “themeoptions” folder. So when I visit my website it says that there is now stylesheet.
I thought when I pay for a theme updates should work smooth 🙁
