can't link search widget to Icon in topbar

Hello!
I can’t figure out how to link the search icon in the topbar to the search form widget so that it could open up to the right of the icon.
At the moment, I added the search form directly to the topbar as a widget but its not in the right place and I want it to be hidden until it is clicked on.
-I have enabled the Topbar Icon Menu and added the search icon.
-All topbar settings are switched to on. Note: I have added another widget in topbar (visual editor) and that one is ok.
- The forum ‘Virtue Theme’ is closed to new topics and replies.
