Changing Width of blog text and icons of recent posts

Hello,
I’d like to change the width of the blog text on my entire blog. For example this page, the text is super wide and I think it would look better if it was at 80% width.
I’d also like to change the little pencil icons on the right hand side under recent posts and remove them or change them to something different. How do I do that?
