“Classic Theme” set, does this mean Virtue/Pinnacle will get retired?

I came to install a theme on a new site and noticed there’s change in the downloads and Kadence Theme seems to be the ‘archetype’ now.
Is this intending to ‘migrate’ people to a single theme with templates/sub-design and deprecate the ‘classic’ themes?
I’ve looked around the blog for a few pages and browsed the forum and could not immediately see any info about this.
Naturally if this is the case then I want to be able to roadmap in changes to the sites I manage with classic themes.
