Custom Icons in Tabs Block

hi! are there any plans to add custom icons to tabs in the tabs block? as of now, only a number of predefined icons can be used, but custom icons (as svg and/or png) would be pretty cool. so before we try to override the tabs blocks, maybe there is something planned for a future update already?
