Custom sidebar not displaying on Blog archive page

I created a custom sidebar called Blog sidebar. It correctly displays on the blog posts pages however I cannot get it to display on the main blog archive page. It persists in showing the primary sidebar no matter what I do. ie I cant even choose to not display any sidebar on the archive page.

see here it displays the primary sidebar (which I’ve edited for use on shop pages)

This page shows the custom sidebar which I want to display on the archive page…otherwise I’d like to know why I cant display no sidebar on that page too

These are my options…
