Cyclone slider thumbnails not below images

Notice how the thumbnails are not centered horizontally below the image.
I am now making another post with a slider with more images, and the thumbnails are placed even further to the left – the thumbnail row starts at the left side of the screen (i.e. much farther to the left than the image) and ends about two-thirds into the image.

How can this be fixed?
Note that some (possibly related) CSS was added, as suggested on this site:
.cycloneslider-template-thumbnails .cycloneslider-slide img {
max-height: 100%;
}
