Fatal Error after automatic WordPress 4.9.6 update

Hi, I am receiving this message: “Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home2/wapatu/public_html/Accessories-Place.com/wp-content/plugins/product-enquiry-for-woocommerce/product-enquiry-for-woocommerce.php on line 1143” each time I try to access my admin page. I have searched through WordPress.org for a fix and have yet to find one.
My site comes up with no problem using the “Buy it Now” button, but when clicking on “Add to Cart”, the same fatal message is received.
The last time I accessed it was about a week ago, before the update and all was well. Can someone please direct me to a solution? It’s been a while since I had set everything up and have become a little unfamiliar with the process, so details would be appreciated.
