Footer Menu Sub Items

Hello all,
I have checked to have the primary menu show on the footer as a footer menu and I notice that the sub-menu items are as drop down in the primary menu, but in the footer menu they are opened and spread out.
Is there something I can do to make them look like regular sub-menu items – hidden until clicked on drop down arrow?
