force mobile menu to display

Hi,
i would like to create with ascend theme a site like this one *Login to see link where the mobile menu shows even when the site runs on a desktop browser. i was googling a bit and i found this resource for virtue and i want to see if ascend can adopt it, but, firstly i want do a “stupid” question: the mobile menu shows automatically when i reduce the browser size to a value, why i cannot modify that value bigger enough to “force” the mobile to show always…i don’t know but something like if screensize is larger than 20 px than display mobile menu.
