How to add “Slider” and “Drop down” similar to Virtue premium demo page

Hi,
I am currently building my organisation website using Virtue premium theme.
I have 2 queries both related to the home page layout of the following page – *Login to see link
1. How can i add the slider that appears below “Latest from the blogs” for the website homepage?
2. How can i create a drop down menu similar to the one that appears on as you hover the mouse over the menu item called “Features” in top nav?
