How to format the Virtue slider

I would like to format the Virtue slider as follows:
1) Remove the borders and shading (can you do this globally)
2) Make images smaller, have more white space between images
3) Remove the white background from prev and next arrows. And 0 margin right and left.
Is there a video I can watch on this?
