How to use the fr_FR.po file

Hello,
I am using virtue premium for a french website and I would like to use the fr_FR.po file to display only french word.
In the comment.php template, in the comments section the “One response” or “%d Responses” is displayed if there is comment.
I found in the fr_FR.po the translation which is correct but I don’t know why it keep using the english version and not the french translation.
What should I do to use the french translation?
