Icon menu in home layout vs pagebuilder virtue image menu

Is it possible to make that an image menu created with pagebuilder+virtue image menu looks same as an icon menu created in the home layout settings when using smartphone?
In a 6 columns row i add 6x”virtue menu image”, then in the size settings i adjusted the size so that they look like a square but when i use the phone the image is cuted and turns rectangular. Otherways if i use the icon menu from the home layout, all the images are responsive and keep squared and in 2 columns…
