Hey, we’re in the process of recreating a new acquired company’s website in Kadence (Pro/3.0.41 etc. all latest).
Everything is done, ready to go and all, besides the Blog posts. I just opened their Blog section, and there’s 1,187 different posts. Kill me.
Normally, I have to redo the template of the Blog/Posts section to make it better, and only Kadence-based (no WordPress-native blocks, or old Elementor stuff etc.)
The issue is that I’ve been doing it all manually, copy/pasting the content from the old site to the new ones, as it never bothered me with only a few dozen pages to do. I could hammer it all out in a weekend at most, but this would be downright foolish to try with 1,187 posts.
I know I can import Posts via plugins and such, but I want to specifically import it all into the new website Post page format/template I made. Is there a way for me to import all these posts, in a way which will:
– Retain all the old content & content formatting (Bolding, italics, bullet lists, alignment etc.)
– Put it all into the Kadence Block -equivalents
– Respect my settings for the posts page I made in the customizer (so all the Sidebar widgets, Post page layouts etc.)
I know this is probably unlikely, but I have to do something to get them all transferred over. Should I just import them as-is and just transition to the new Post design & Kadence blocks going forward?
What’s my best course of action here, given the limitations of the available solutions?
Thanks!
