Kadence Slider Plugin Won’t Install

I’ve tried installing this a few ways (as the downloaded zip file under Add New Plugin) or through the recommended plugins under Appearances->Getting Started. It shows the slider and lets me click Install. But then I get an error that the plugin failed because the destination folder already exist. Although, when I check back in plugins (or on the left menu bar where the Kadence slider option usually lives, it is not there.
