License key to use on another website

Is there a tutorial link for the steps to use my Virtue Premium License key? I know about going in Appearance>Getting Started and place key there. But don’t know if that is Step 1 or further down the steps.
I am considering switching themes for *Login to see link to my Virtue Premium theme. Not certain whether that’s the best route or creating a new website with my API key for them using a subdomain for now. Don’t know how Virtue Premium will react with modified codes in current BrightNews Premium theme being used in active website. Any input welcomed. Thanks.
PS Also in My Account under API key list, I moved a WP website, waterstone.celebratingyourjourney.com (activated on Aug 11, 2016 at 07:21 pm), to another subdomain for now cyj.celebratingyourjourney.com. The license key worked but under My Account API key list it still shows the old domain. Is that an problem?
