Make Clear that User is Logged In

Hello,
When a user with very basic roles in the site is logged in, there is no sign that he is logged in, not even that black bar on the top with the user icon on the top right. Is there a way to turn on some sort of feature that makes it very clear for every user that he/she is logged in?
