No error message showing on my accounts page when wrong info is inputted

Hello,
Could you please help me with this issue.
Initially, whenever a customer would put in the wrong email id, username or subsequent password, wordpress would show a message saying what the issue was.
Recently, I noticed that this message doesn’t seem to show up . The page just gets refreshed again.
This seems a little inconvenient & unclear.
Could you help me with it ?
