Not sure to use gallery display or portfolio display-confused!

Here is my website *Login to see link . I want to have a display of six photos on my home page displaying my seasons of photography photos. So one photo will be winter, one spring, fall etc. I am not sure how to do this. Is it a portfolio post or a gallery display? All my photos are in my shop, but I want to feature on my home page my photo categories. Is this something I should do in Woocommerce? I am completely confused. Please help.
