If I have content on a page and I go to page editor, I select page builder, page builder asks “Would you like to copy this editor’s existing content to Page Builder?” and I select cancel, then proceed to use page builder without deleting original content on the page, will page builder delete my original content or does in remain in the background somewhere?

Part of the reason I am asking this is because I have drop down selections on the page in question inside of page builder. I want the drop selections to look like they do in page builder live view. I have tried several different background configurations and colors.
