Page has problems loading properly

Lately, my page/theme doesn´t load properly. The section “Latest Posts” as well as the “similar posts carousel” don´t show most of the time I visit my page or postings. There is just a huge empty space. I had the problem with my imac and thought it has something to do with the internet connection. But now I am using a laptop with perfect internet and the problem still occurs. What happend here lately? Are the picutres (1000px) which I used for my latest postings too big? This shouldn´t be though.
