Polylang issue with Virtue theme

Hi team,
I am using the polylang plugin, and each time there is an update the images I have added to the theme (ie header etc) disappear. Each time I have had to manually add the strings back into the plugin strings translations settings. According to Polylang forum this is due to an error in the wpml-config.xml file:
They say:
“What to do if you suspect such error?
You can check the syntax of a wpml-config.xml file in an online XML validator such as *Login to see link It will tell you where the error is. Then ask the author to fix the error.
So far, I found such errors in:
* Pinnacle (fixed in 1.4.4)
* Virtue Premium (probably fixed in latest version, same author as Pinnacle)”
So they think you have fixed the issue, but it seems that it is not yet fixed.
Any chance of fixing this? Thanks for your help.
