Hi there

We are building a website using portfolios and the grid page with filters from the premium theme. We thought we had got it working with test information, but now we have real stuff on there, it is not doing what we want it to.

We have a top level category of Members with sub-categories. Each member may be in one or more sub-categories according to their business. We also have a second top level category of Area with sub-categories for regions the member is active in. We have set the flag to navigate through category.

What we would like to happen is:

On the Members page, the visitor clicks on a filter (category A) to see who is in a category. This is working.
The visitor then clicks on one of the members to see their details. (working).
The visitor can then navigate through category A members using the arrows. When we try this, it appears to navigate through all members!
We would like a second page doing the same thing based on Areas, but that is not working either!

We are running Virtue Premium at the current version (3.9.7) with WordPress on 4.7.2.

Our assumption was that the portfolio pages would cycle according to the filter category selected on the grid page, but it seems to be picking a category at random – generally the “members” top level one.

Can you clarify whether we can achieve what we want (and how)?

Thank you
