Portfolio Grid/Carousel post focus behavior

Is there any way, for accessibility purposes, that you could add functionality to the Portfolio Grid/Carousel block for when an item in the grid receives focus (via the keyboard) that it behaves the same way as what it does when you hover over it (the title of the post is displayed with a color overlay over the photo)? This would help me tremendously with accessibility.
