I have an issue with posts appearing on the front page (which is a static page)

The options are set to all categories- yet all posts do not appear –

If I do not tick the “travel” category for every post- the post does not appear on the home page- it is as though this is set somewhere but not anywhere I can find or see it.

Unfortunately having to tick Travel for every post means the related posts displaying at the bottom of the post are never relevant because everything is in the same category.

And that leads to my next question (which is probably a separate issue) but since it has to do with related posts . . .

When you use the social sharing bar for Pinterest- it shows all the photos in the post- I can use code in the post pictures—- data-pin-nopin=”nopin”, and this blocks the photos from appearing when you press the social share bar- narrowing the photos from the post to display only the one I want to display for pinning. However the photos that are in the related posts- still appear which means you can pin a random picture with a link to the post (and people do!).

So my question is there a way to data-pin-nopin=”nopin” the related posts so they do not appear as an option when you press the social share button for pinterest?

Thanks
