primary navigation drop down menu direction

I’m sure this has been asked and answered somewhere in the forum, but I couldn’t find it, so…
How do I change the direction the drop down menu falls? We have created a 3 level drop down primary navigation menu, but the 3rd level falls off the screen right. Can this be flipped so menus open towards the middle of screen instead of the edge?
I would also like to make the menu boxes narrower if possible. this could also help the above.
