Problem with Search box in Header

Hi, I have a problem with the Search box in the header.
I have added the Search box in Customizer > Header.
It seems to work sometimes (usually with Firefox on Mac), but often not at all.
Clicking on the Search box often only results in a quick flashing, and nothing else.
This error typically happens in Safari on Mac/IOS, but also with Chroome on Mac/PC.
I am using Kadence theme Version: 0.8.4.
