Regarding Performance (of Ascend theme)

I’m thinking of selecting another Kadence theme for a project for an artist’s blog since I have membership, rather than buying a new theme. (painter, sculptor etc) It will also include a woocommerce shop to sell her stuff.
I was thinking of using a cheaper hosting plan from my reseller account with an I/O limit of 2MB/s however that’s struggled somewhat for other woocommerce sites built on Pinnacle, which I’ve used only for testing. (4MB/s seems okay for my production sites.. I realise plugins are also a factor)
I noticed you say on your theme summary page for Ascend..
Completely customizable header including a very stylish vertical menu and a stunning transparent header that changes as you scroll. Amazingly versatile, built for performance.
Does that mean it performs better than Pinnacle from a speed or I/O point of view?
