Remove Home Blog Title and Customize Social Media Buttons

You guys rock! Two questions:
1. Can you tell me how to remove the Home Blog Title all together, including the white space that remains when I add a ” ” space to clear the default “Featured Projects”
2. Is there a way to add custom images for the social media buttons on my home page, align, and resize them?
