Reset website to state before demo content install

The plugin wordpress-reset ( *Login to see link ) was last updated 2 years ago and has not been tested for the lastest 3 major WordPress releases so I am not confident in the integrity of what it does.
Is there any other way to remove demo content other than painstakingly manually?
