Hi, I like this theme a lot although still getting familiar with a lot of (hidden) features.

I looked around the forum and cannot figure out how to make that happen, here I use a test site to demo the situation:
(home button is the logo)
Three blog categories: “dog page” “cat page” and “fish page”, each has 3 posts.
I’d like to feature posts dog2, cat2 and fish2 with full content on home page; like the “main page2” look.

However, when I assign “main page2” as front page, all posts disappeared.

“main page1” is using shortcode, it seems full content cannot be displayed. (also not sure if can be displayed in one column)

Current test site “Reading Settings”, I set front page to “latest posts”, it can achieve the look my client wants but cannot filter out unwanted posts.

Will you please guide me on how to work or workaround this situation?
(I’m upgrading several sites with same requirement: feature selective full posts on home page)
Thanks you so much in advance!!
