Site crashed after updating theme!!!

Hi Guys got a panic of a problem here, hope you can help.
Performing security updates on one of my Virtue Premium websites and when I performed the Virtue theme update the site gave a Gateway time out and then when I refresh gave a HTP ERROR 500 message. I’ve got the site back by removing the Virtue-premium directory and the reloading the Virtue-premium theme but can’t seem to reactivate the Virtue theme without it crashing.
Please can you help!
