Split Content equal height media and content

On this site:
the top split content block with the sunrise photo and the turquoise block. I would like them to be equal heights. You can see that the right block is slightly misaligned and not the same height. I have played with the content, and the content padding and margin, trying to match the photo height, with no luck. Can this be done?
Is there another technique I should be using?
