Using Siteground as host. I set up a staging site. Working on the staging site, I selected the option to store Google fonts locally.

When I pushed the site to live, the live site continued to send requests for fonts to the staging site instead of re-writing to request from the live site. Worse, I didn’t figure this out until I had destroyed the staging site.

I fixed the problem by changing the font which was then saved on the live site. However, that won’t help me if I set up a new staging site.

Siteground insists this is not from and error in their staging-to-live transfer and it has to be related to a plugin or program that is fetching the fonts. This never happened before and seems to be related to Google fonts being stored locally.

Is there a reason why the Kadence Theme (using pro) would have an issue with a staging site like this>
