Sticky header page width anomaly

I’m converting our site to Ascend, and I must say thank you – I’m delighted with the flexibility of the theme.
I do have one small problem. I have a transparent and sticky header. This works fine except that at window widths between about 976 and 992px the page title appears over the header, rather than below it. You can see the effect at demo1.srp.org.uk. However, this does not happen if the page does not have a scrollbar: see for example *Login to see link
I note that the title positioning seems to be done with Javascript whereas the choice between the mobile and desktop displays is done with css, so I wonder if there is a discrepancy between the methods they use to determine the width of the page?
