Table of contents not close itself

hello, is there a way to make the table of contents block to close itself when clicked?
I want to show it in a fixed section on mobile at the top or at the bottom but when an element is clicked the TOC is not automatically closing, so it covers all the screen.
I want to achieve something similar shown in moneycrashers.com mobile version
