Testimonial form in modal

Hello, I’m trying to use the testimonial form shortcode inside a modal shortcode. The form opens, shows errors, but on submit, the modal closes without the thank you message. If I click the modal button again, then I see the thank you message.

Can the modal stay open for the complete form submission and thank you message?
