Theme Options Not Saving – PHP Version Issue

Greetings Ben! I am having problems saving my changes in the theme options. If, by chance, it does save in the Firefox browser, it will not show in the front end. In Safari, it will not save the change at all.
As you had me do the last time, I contacted my host to increase my php settings to 256 mb. That did not have any affect.
I also asked if they could repair the database.
The senior host provider asked me to send you this message as he has had similar problems with others:
there seems to be a problem with the virtue them options panel and a request to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php and whatever code in the virtue theme is making request to that php file needs to receive some troubleshooting. The virtue theme php version is 5.4.43 and wordpress is on version 4.3.1
