topbar icon background hover color

Hi & thanks for this awesome theme as I am loving it!
Q: How can I make the background hover color behind each icon on the topbar a different color just as in the demo?
Tried to find some code on here… tried it and it didn’t work for my situation. Seems I need the magic formula and I just don’t know what that is. I tried this:
#topbar .virtue_social_widget a:hover {background: rgba (172,64,15);}
But really I want each icon to have a different color when you hover over it like the demo. Right now mine are all grey :(. Can you supply for me the custom css to make it happen as I LOVE the demo and I would really like to put the six or so colors of my theme behind those little icons; it would really look awesome.
