Upgrade from Virtue Free to Premium Fails

Upgrade from Virtue Free to Premium fails with the “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.” error.
Disabled all plugins, disabled child theme, got new Authentication Unique Keys and Salts; no help.
Do you have any ideas on how to upgrade?

Here’s an update: uploaded twenty seventeen theme; it installed without problem. I activated twenty seventeen and tried again to install virtue, same error…
