URL Change lost all content and settings

Foolishly I changed the primary URL to my hosting package where I had a wordpress installation under developed using the virtue premium theme installed. After changing the wordpress url in the database I’ve managed to login to the installation however all settings have vanished, content in the media section remains but all the themes appearance settings have disappeared. Is it truly lost, or is this a databse issue?
