Use of Google Fonts GDPR dangerous

Hi,
Just read an article, via LinkedIn discussion, that using Google Fonts, here in the EU can be a GDPR violation.
Meaning, Google search a visitors IP and the users behaviour etcetera via the Google Fonts api.
Now, because Kadence Themes allows Google fonts, can you at Kadence come up with a GDPR safe solution.
Question is Eespecially important as Google Fonts is used by default with Kadence Themes.
