Variable Product Select drop down still visible with swatches

Hope you can help.

I’m creating a fabric shop website for a client using your Fab Virtue Theme. I need to have swatches as selection for choosing fabrics, so I’ve installed the Woocommerce Variations Swatches and Photos plugin. I’m in the process of setting up a product with the swatches which are displaying as expected, however the drop down choose an option box is still visible.

I’ve gone through a process of elimination and discovered that if I select another theme the drop down disappears.

Please can someone advise. Am I missing a theme option or is there some css I can use to switch the drop down off when swatches are in use?
