Variable size of items in carousel causes page below to move up and down

Hi! I threw a Virtue carousel onto this page:

The problem I’m running into is that everything below the carousel moves up and down as the size of items in the carousel changes. Is there an easy fix for this, e.g., throw the carousel into a height-defined div or something? I realize that ideally all the images would be proportioned similarly, but this carousel is drawing from post content, which makes that impractical.
