Hello,

My client now want to use the free Virtue theme, although I have a subscription. They want to archive the site later without having to update licence.

We are creating 3 types of posts: Blog, Events, and Trainings. I built the menu using categories, but ideally I would have a short introduction text on each page, then the posts of that category.

In the landing page I use a plug in (display post listing) to show excerpts of the latests posts.

but if I want to have links from the titles and the illustrations (not ready yet) to the category page as in the Menu, how can I link?

I am thinking maybe I should use another plug in for creating 3 different types of posts:

I’d love to have the style of the blog page for all the categories, as well. Somehow for the category of Events/Tapahtumat the style turned out to be nice like in the Blog page, but I don’t know how. I can’t see any difference to the page Trainings Both are showing categories only. I don’t dare touch the page that looks good for now. For the introduction text, maybe simply make one post a sticky?

Also, on the landing page the Blog excerpts should only be of the category “blog”.

Do you think I should try a custom post type plug in and not the category system?

I’m sorry the site in in Finnish, and may be unpleasant for you to have a look at,

thank you,
Ulla
