virtue gallery – icon over hovered image

Hi there,
I was wondering if it was possible to have an icon of a magnifying glass that appears when you hover over the top of an image on a virtue gallery?
My ideal solution would be for the current image to zoom slightly, darken and show a magnifying glass.
