"Your card's expiration year is invalid."

I am setting up Easy Digital Downloads (plugin) with Stripe integration (plugin add-on) to sell digital products.

When I go to the following link, click the “checkout” button, it takes me to the checkout page.

Then, I fill out the personal info and credit card info using a test credit card from Stripe (CC # 4242424242424242, any CVC number, and any future expiration date).

When I click the “Purchase” button at the bottom of the screen, I am met with an error:
“Your card’s expiration year is invalid.”

Is this because a plugin or the theme translates expiration dates to 2 numbers? (17 instead of 2017)
Do you have any idea why this is happening?

The Easy Digital Download person thought it might be a plugin or the theme so I thought I should ask you.
