Exciting Updates to Kadence Plans and Licensing in 2025

We’re introducing updates to our pricing and licensing structure. Here’s everything you need to know before these changes take effect on February 1, 2025.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re excited to introduce a new pricing structure that makes our tools even more accessible and offers flexible options to support users at every level.

These updates include the launch of a new entry-level plan and a shift to a per-site licensing model, which will ensure that we can more effectively support creators and businesses.

What’s changing (and why)

To better serve our community, we’re making two major updates:

1. Expanding our pricing plans with a new entry-level option

We’ve heard from many users that access to premium design tools—like Starter Templates and premium patterns in the Design Library—that a lower price point would make getting started with KadenceWP even easier. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Kadence Express Plan!

What’s included in the Express plan

This plan is ideal for creators and small businesses looking to kickstart their website-building journey without a big upfront commitment. For just $69 per year (billed annually), you’ll get access to:

This plan is perfect for site owners who are happy with the free versions of the Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks plugin but want additional design resources to streamline customization and launch even faster.

What is the new Creative Kit Plugin?

The new Creative Kit plugin is available to customers on the Express Plan or higher. Currently, it provides access to our library of premium designs along with all of the other features like Animate on Scroll and Spam Prevention in the Express Plan. (See the full feature list in the table above.) It will eventually include our AI Page Creator feature and other possible new features.

If you’re on any other plan other than the Express Plan, you do not need to install Creative Kit just yet. Once we release the AI Page Creator tool later this year, subscribers on the Plus and Ultimate plans will need to install and activate Creative Kit to access this feature. For now, installation is only required for users on the Express Plan.

As we’ve grown and learned more about how our community creates and manages websites, we’ve decided to transition to a per-site licensing model. This approach provides greater flexibility, allowing you to choose a plan that fits your specific needs without paying for more than you’ll use.

This update also reflects a smarter approach to supporting our community. By aligning with industry standards, we can focus our resources on delivering the best possible tools and features, ensuring your websites remain competitive in an ever-changing digital landscape.

Ultimately, this model positions KadenceWP for sustainable growth, enabling us to continue innovating and investing in the tools, support, and features you need to build smarter, better websites for years to come.

New Plan Names and Site Limits

Here’s how the updated plan names and site limits will look:

In fact, all of the changes we’re making position KadenceWP for long-term growth while ensuring we can meet our users’ evolving needs.

How active site limits work

Active site limits refer to the number of websites you can manage with a single plan. You can deactivate a license on one site to free it up for another.

What about stand-alone plugins?

We will be increasing the prices of the a la carte products as well as implementing a 5-site limit per plugin purchase. Kadence Blocks Pro will be $119/yr and Kadence Theme Pro (which will be called Theme Kit) will be $99/yr.

Timeline of Changes

Through January 31, 2025, you can preview and compare the new plans directly on our pricing page. The new prices and site limits will be marked out, indicating that you can still purchase the old plans for a limited time before the changes take effect.

Starting February 1, 2025, the new plans and pricing will take effect for new users.

FAQ

What if I don’t need all 10 site licenses, but I want the Kadence Theme Pro and Kadence Blocks Pro Plugins?

Our plans are designed to meet a variety of user needs, not just by increasing site limits but also by offering specific features and functionality at each tier.

For example, users building a single site with Kadence Theme Pro and Kadence Blocks Pro would find everything they need in the Essentials Bundle (soon to be the Plus Plan), which includes the tools and licenses to match their goals. Even if you don’t need to use all 10 sites, you still need the features, so it would be the best plan for you.

I’m on the lifetime bundle. Is my plan going to be subject to site limits?

If you purchase your Lifetime plan before February 1, 2025, you will remain locked into the unlimited license for all current and future products. No additional purchases or upgrades are required as a thank you for being a loyal Kadence user!

So are you saying lifetime isn’t really lifetime anymore?

Lifetime means it’s a one-time payment instead of a yearly subscription. You pay the fee once and get access to the product forever. It’s still a lifetime product, but there are limits on how many sites you can use it on (if you purchase it as a new subscriber after February 1st). You can still purchase the current Full Lifetime at the same rate and without site limits through the end of January 2025.
